Once that SIM card line is transferred to another iDevice that SIM becomes invalid. Doesn't help the new iPhone owner yet doesn't hurt you either.

Thanks! Click to expand... You might have meant this, but not just a reset but "Erase All Content and Settings." Some folks also restore as new in iTunes.
