I heard that you can sell any mac to apple, Is that true ?

I don't live in USA but I may go there next month, So I won't sell my MBP through ebay or something like that.

I have the high end late 2008 MBP

The superdrive doesn't work and it has max 2 hour battery, Also it takes too long to charge. Eveything else is fine I think.

Will they accept it ? Well I sure won't expect to get a lot from it.
And will they give you a cash or what ?

You can trade it in on a new machine, or get gift vouchers for the amount they offer but not cash. Also they will offer you about a half of what you can get selling the machine yourself.

Of course you could have just gone onto the Apple us website and looked this up and got a quote on your machine.
