Selling on ebay?

Lets say my brother wanted to get one to sell on ebay for some extra gas money how would be go about activating it at the apple store then cancleing it?

We are getting a regular family plan and i will be the only iphone unless he gets one then cancels and gets the shine.

Well hes thinking about it but he wants to know if he can and how.

And yes he needs gas money cuz he blew all his money on stage 2 for his car and only gets paid monthly.
