If one sells there first gen iPhone and places the SIM in another phone in the meantime, can that phone use the iPhone plans 200 text messages? I understand to not get online with this POS phone because it's not the same as the iPhone data plan, but how about text messages.....? Same or different? Can I text without penalty from AT&T....?

you're not meant to use the sim in another phone

its highly unlikely AT&T will do anything

if i were you i'd use the data and texts

but there is a minute chance they will charge u

ive been doing the same thing.. had an iphone sold it kept the plan and put my sim in a gophone... i'm using the texts no problem you may text freely my friend

Um, are you certain of this dude? A SIM is a SIM? AT&T doesn't know if you put it in an iPhone or a Blackberry or a GoPhone.....

The only reason I ask about the texts is because I think AT&T DOES have a different texting system set up for the iPhone as opposed to other phones since it can't receive MMS's......So yea...Does anyone have a definite answer to my question?
