Hi everyone. I’ve just received the Magic Keyboard and the experience is pure bliss. Best accessory Apple’s made in a long, long time. I have something that I’d like to hear your opinion, though. I’ve noticed that, although I love the 130 degrees angle, when I use it at “90 degrees”, straight up, I actually prefer to “slightly close” the first hing (the main one, not the one with all the different angles). Given that the first hinge kinda “snaps” and locks itself into place, I’ve been wondering if keeping it at that position would be damaging for the cantilevered hinge mechanism. The iPad is SUPER stable with this “new position.” The advantage, though, is that the touch “bottom bar” is closer to the keyboard. Also, when in it’s ”official” 90 degrees position the whole screen is too far away from the hand compared to my “new” positon for the 90 degrees screen. Another advantage is that, given that the ipad is more “centralized” in the Magic Keyboard, it is even more stable, balanced for lap usage in this mode... I’ll try to attach e picture of this mode. Please let me know what you think about it. Thanks! Picture incoming in the comments below.

Proposed angle above.
Original angle, main difference is how much further away the screen is from the keyboard and hands:

Do you think this will “weaken” the first hinge, somehow? Thanks!

My gut feeling is that Apple has probably tested/accounted for this and it's fine. They would not let the case let you use it in a way that is going to damage it.
