I've got a older 15" G4 notebook running OS 10.3.X (9 i think). Long story short, my delete button is fried, due to some liquid spillage, although the rest of the keyboard works fine. Problem is twohold: (1) the delete key seems to randomly be on permanent depress. I'll be typing something, and pause for a second, and the computer will delete what I've typed, like some ghost in the machine. (2) Assuming I can remedy this problem, but the key is still dead, rather than buy a new keyset, is there some way to set someother key to function as the delete key (i.e., the "]" key which I never use). Any help much appreciated.

Changing Keys

Is there some way to set what a keyboard key does, i.e., setting another key to perform the "delete" or "return" or "shift" function?

Thanks
