Semi-New to jailbreaking

I am about to go on a New Years Trip and wanted internet service on my Aluminum Macbook by tethering my iPhone 3G. Can someone give me the best way to jailbreak it. I tried a few weeks back and it said that the new Aluminum Macbook was not able to, so if someone could point me in the right direction I will greatly appreciate it.

I have jailbroken an original iPhone on 1.0.2, 1.1.3, and 1.1.4 so I'm not completely new to this.
 
Just plug the iphone in through a USB hub and you'll be fine. Use pwnage to build you a custom ipsw and follow the prompts to put you in DFU mode and what not.
