Got a G5 for €30, works like a charm. I installed it as desktop computer, so I don't have to plug my Air to the screen for almost everything.

I have a set of speakers in the other side of the room. It would be difficult to put a wire from the computer to the speakers. I have a 4th gen iPod Touch with a Dock, I listen music from there.

Is it possible to pass the G5 audio output (everything, music, videos, etc) to the speaker system, using the iPod?

Other low cost options? Maybe with another PPC Mac I have?

I have used Airfoil by Rogue Amoeba in the past to achieve this over WiFi.

Visit their Legacy OS Information and Legacy Downloads page for older versions capable of working with Leopard (and right back to Jaguar 10.2). I registered my copy around 2010 and it worked fine with my PowerPC Macs to send audio to newer Macs and iOS devices.

I just downloaded the latest version of Airfoil Satellite on my iPhone 6 (iOS 12.4.1) to test receiving and I can confirm sending system audio from my PowerBook G4 15" running 10.5.8 works just fine.

Ok, I'll try it as soon as a I come back from the weekend. Hope I can get it to work with... iOS 6 I think. Thank you!

Ok, the solution looks nice, but the cost of Airfoil license is a bit high for this purpose. For that price I lay audio cable from the G5 to the speaker system...

Btw it's interesting that the iOS App is still compatible with iOS 6.1.6...

You may look for an older AirPortExpress with Audio-Out and use iTunes to stream music from your G5 to multiple of available AirTunes-devices (which also includes that AirPortExpress).
With Airfoil you may do this system-wide on your/any Mac (not restricted to iTunes only) and include any "newer" iOS-device as a speaker-connected receiving device (my 3rg gen. iPodTouch with iOS4 did struggle while receiving streamed music though).
