I just discovered a great new macOS app, and I thought I would pass the information along. For the record, I am not the author and have no connection to the author. I am just a satisfied "customer" and I use that word lightly. The app is free to download and use. There is the predictable "pro" version that costs a $9.99 monthly fee, but I haven't bothered with it.

TEXTY is available from the Mac App Store and integrates seamlessly with Google Messages, Google's answer to iMessage. If you use Google Messages as the texting app on your Android device, you can install TEXTY on your Mac, pair it to your phone via a simple one step QR code scan and then start sending and receiving texts via your Mac desktop.... SO much easier to work with than a small phone screen.

Offered for your consideration!

I've been using the texty app on my mac desktop, but I've. been having a problem keeping it logged into Google Messages and paired with my Android phone. It seems to log off of Google Messages just about every night. Have to re-pair it with my Android phone way too frequently. I don't see any settings that would address this, and am wondering if anyone else is having this sort of issue.

It is set to open on login, but I don't log out of it daily or reboot my desktop very often, like once a week at the most. And it always has a "." under it in the task bar, indicating that it's always running in the background. I have no idea why it's breaking the pairing with my Android phone periodically.

Otherwise the app seems to work well.
