Send streaming video to TV set?

My iMac is connected to my whole-house network. So is my Sony TV set. I am wondering how to get video content that is streaming on Safari to display on my TV set?

Not over a network - there isn’t a networking standard that allows for it that I know of. Certainly a network connected TV (I don’t know what capabilities it has) isn’t going to provide for general streaming video support leaving you with direct connection over a video interface.

Otherwise you are looking at a separate external system of some kind.
