Unfortunately I believe the feature is only available in English and Chinese right now

Idotic move. Scribble could easily recognice german letters. In the end they are the same latin letters as english ones.

I don't think it's a matter of recognition. It's a matter of first adding and testing languages frequently used. English makes sense because, well, not only are there lots of English speakers it's also the native language of Apple. Chinese is also one of the most spoken languages. In sure they plan to add more. My mother language is Hungarian and I could argue that's even easier to recognize than German.
