Sending a fax over bluetooth modem

I have never been able to get this feature to work between my powerbook and phone. First tried with a Sony Ericsson T68i... the dialup screen pops up momentarily on the phone but then goes away without sending the fax. Same thing happens with my new Z600. Normal bluetooth synching between phone and powerbook has no problems. Any idea what neeeds to be done?

Are you able to get a stable connection just by dailing up to the phone?

What service provider do you have?
