I've read some threads talking about the low probability of Apps being approved if they use Bluetooth. I'm not sure if that is just for data transfer, or in general.

Can I get a team ruling on the probability of the following being approved?

App that uses Bluetooth to connect to a device and send commands. As in, a Bluetooth Controlled Microwave that I want to have an iPhone App be able to turn connect to, turn on and off, or adjust the temperature, etc.

Am I going to have to get the Microwave approved as an iPhone device?

Thanks,,,,

There is no general purpose access to the Bluetooth stack. You would have to get each and every device approved as an accessory which basically means you'd have to be the manufacturer of those devices.
