Sending Fax from Mac?

So once in a blue moon I have to step back in time a bit a send someone a fax. Its seems like I should be able to fax anything as long as it is "scanned" into my computer.

Is it possible to send a fax from my Mac without a phone line, through my cable modem internet connection?

Yeah, just go to faxzero.com and upload what you want to scan.
