Hey there,

I have a new 27" iMac but unfortunately there is a fault so Apple will be sending a currier to come and pick it up.. The only thing is I fear I may have disposed of some of the clear plastic protective packaging! Is this an issue or should I just pack it back up as close as it was to how they sent it me (minus some of the packaging).

Many Thanks

i don't know about apple, but with sony... I packaged mine up real nice, and then they said we don't want your packaging, and just took the console full.... On the other hand, when i sent a bike part back, they weren't bothered on packaging, so long as it was 'securely packaged' so i think all you'll need is a box with some styrofoam in or something just so it doesnt get more damaged whilst being transferred

Thank you for the info, thats great!

One more question though; Do I need to format the HDD when sending it back? Or even remove my User account etc?

Many Thanks
