Sending images to myself with Messages

Previously when I was on Mojave I could send images (screenshots or renders) from my Mac to my iPad, no problem, using messages.

In Ventura doing the same thing it always produces 2 images, is this right?

It seems to make sense. On one side, you're the sender. On the other side you're the receiver. But why would you even do this?

Example above, I took a screen shot on my Mac Studio.
Most of my forum activity is on my iPad, so send it myself to upload.

Consider email instead? Screen shot the image and save to iCloud files (to then access on your Mac). Airdrop from iPad to Mac? Etc. There's a lot of ways to accomplish the same vs. texting yourself.

That's the easiest way to move images (and other files).

Another way is just to save them in iCloud, but that takes a while to sync, normally, so I prefer to Airdrop stuff to myself...

Don't really use iCloud files or drive, tend to keep things local on each device.

Depending on what you’re doing with these images you can simply cut on the Mac and paste on the iPad.
