Sending Old iPhone 4 To A Friend Internationally

Hey guys, I got an upgrade to the iphone 5C through AT&T from the 4. I want to send the iPhone 4 to a friend in another country and I'm just wondering if anyone knows AT&T's stance on this. Will they find out and bill me the difference for the phone since I got it on contract ?:confused: I already took the sim card out.
 
Nvm guys. I got this sorted out already. Maybe a mod can delete/close this thread. Thanks
