Sending pictures while on phone

Yes, I do apologize, I'm sure this has been hashed out a million times. I did do a search but nothing readily came up about it.
So iPhone 6+ on Verizon, girlfriend has Galaxy S4 on Verizon, she can send and receive pictures while talking on the phone, I can't.
Why?

The 6/6+ should be capable of simultaneous voice and data on Verizon. Do you have voice & data enabled in Settings? Settings > Cellular > Enable LTE > Voice & Data (as opposed to Data Only).
