Is there any way to send and receive text messages on my mac while using the bluetooth connection in my cellphone? I want to be able to send and receive on my mac screen, but instead of using ichat, i want to use my cellphone. If this is unclear i will edit this question so give me some feedback. Thanks.

Hi!

In 10.4 you could do it directly from Address Book, just click the bluetooth icon in the icon bar of Address Book to connect the phone with Address Book.
Then control-click any phone number and select Send SMS.

In 10.5 Leopard, for strange reasons, this functionality is gone. Bummer. But there is a Dashboard widget, which gives you this functionality back. On the developer's site you can find everything from download to installation instructions.

Alternatively, you could also use Skype's built in SMS function. Sometimes their rates are even cheaper as those of the phone operators.

Hope this was helpful.
