I was going to buy a CX300 for a replacement for my Skullcandy Ink'd. I skipped Future Shop since they sell it at $100+. I looked at CX300-ii in $15-$30 range on eBay but I'm worried if they'll be fake, and many of the ones on Amazon.com simply don't ship to Canada. But someone said M9 is comparable to CX300 and M9 is lower priced and lower risk of getting a fake product. Or are there better ones for the price? Maybe EB900?

If what you want is amazing bass and superior comfort, the TDK EB900 is your best bet. I praise this earphone so much some might think i'm spamming.

Yeah, I was referring to you in the first post, but it sounds like it might have too much bass. Too much bass fatigues my ears and I don't like the sound when my ears are fatigued :(

The Meelectronics M9 are great replacement to the CX300. I bought the M9 after my CX300 stop working. After I got my Iphone I also purchased the M9P which comes with a microphone.

The M9 and M9P are built better, especially the wire and the ear tips from the CX300 fit the Meelectronics. There is also a low probability of counterfeit compared to the Sennheiser.

I received a pair of M9P's form Newegg a couple weeks ago and I am not impressed. The highs are too pronounced and unnatural and hurt my ears at high volume levels. If you listen to your music at half volume or lower on your iphone they are not bad but when your favorite song comes on and you crank the volume above the half way point they are just way too harsh. They also lack mids big time, have an excellent soundstage, have plenty of bass but the highs are just to harsh and painful. I have not owned a Sennheiser product yet but I am considering the CX300 for my next purchase. My daily pair of headphones are the BBD Tours and those I am quite happy with, my only complaint is they are priced too high. Also I have been doing a lot of research on headphones lately and any big name headphone you get from Ebay or Amazon will be fake. If you are after brand name headphones buy ONLY from an authorized dealer to save yourself a ton of headache's.

Well I never go past halfway volume (on iPod touch) and the sharp treble bugs me but I'll just be getting the m9 since Meelectronics has excellent customer service (at least from what I heard) and it's cheaper. Problem with authorized dealers are that they're way expensive than the street price. :(
