I want to know the difference between them in sound quality and bass

I have never heard the sennheisers but what I understand after reading head-fi is that they will offer better sound quality with more clarity over the earpods (unsurprisingly) and with a more "balanced" approach to bass, meaning it won't be as big-sounding as the earpods, and it will struggle with sub-bass frequencies. If you want strong bass with over-ear headphones <$50 I might look at the audio-technica ATH-M40

I will buy it to listen to music, watch movies with little gaming and video editing on my macbook pro.
I chose sennheisers as there is original retail store in my city with 2 years warranty.
The price is my third issue.

This is a no brainer, the Sennheiser HD 201 will easily out perform the Apple earpods, even if they are CHEAP Sennheiser headphones.

How much you looking to spend?

Better than apple earpods

The 201 is pretty flat looking at the specs. Like supermoon said, you won't get a lot of bass if that's what you want. You'd have to use a EQ to get that out of these.

Design-wise, it's better than the Earpods, spec wise no.

But these are headphones that have been made for over 10 years now. And they're studio headphones, which means they are going for flatness and clarity. Because when you're mixing and mastering, you want to hear the actual music.

When you're buying earphones/headphones, it's always good to focus on the frequency response.

I bought a pair of 201's in college, because they were cheap. I'm using them years later because they sound "good enough" for pandora, and they're lighter than my Koss TD/80's.

I also can't stand anything that goes is my ear though.

There isn't even a comparison. They are two COMPLETELY different forms of listening apparatuses. Try each out, and pick what you like. Nobody can give you the best decision for you. It's completely subjective. I have Sennheiser HD555s and Shure SE846's and I use both for their own purposes. Shures for travel and walking around, the Senns for desktop listening.

I have a set of 201s. They sound alright, but definitely not outstanding. The main problem with them is the amount of sound bleed. If you have the volume turned up, everyone around you can hear whatever you are listening to quite clearly.
