Hi there,
I'm able to find the right answer to my question, but now after 2 hours I didn't found the right answer ... :(

I was wondering which glas is on the back of the apple watch series 1 / 2 / 3 ? Especially Series 3.

I found now the following ...
Series 1 Sport - Ion X
Series 1 Other - Sapphire
Series 2 ALL - Sapphire
Series 3 Sport - Ion X
Series 3 Sport Cellular - Sapphire
Series 3 other - Sapphire

Is this right? does anyone know the answer? I'm thinking to buy a watch, but I'm not sure about the back ... I know the differences of the front glas. Or is there no differences?

Thanks for you help

Ah! your right ;) I did a mistake
I'm going to update the overview.
You say that there is no differents but I saw a picture in a german community where someone had big problems with the back :-/
but is the differents the "back" or the "glas"? the glas right? is there a overview somewhere? I heard the series 2 sport had ceramic as well is this right?

Series 1 Sport - ceramic
Series 1 Other - Sapphire
Series 2 ALL - Sapphire
Series 3 Sport - ceramic
Series 3 Sport Cellular - Sapphire
Series 3 other - Sapphire

I think you are confused. There’s the front glass which is what you look at when telling the time and the back which is what rests against your wrist and encases the heart rate sensor. You are confusing the materials that make up both. You are also confusing the naming convention for the watches. “Sport” was the name given to the original “series 0” alumni.

Front glass
Series 0 (1st generation) Sport: ionX
Series 0 stainless steel: sapphire
Series 1 aluminum: ionX
Series 2 aluminum: ionX
Series 2 stainless steel: sapphire
Series 3 aluminum: ion X
Series 3 stainless steel: sapphire

Back panel
Series 0 Sport: composite (plastic)
Series 0 stainless steel: ceramic
Series 1 aluminum: composite
Series 2 aluminum: ceramic
Series 2 stainless steel: ceramic
Series 3 aluminum GPS only: composite
Series 3 aluminum GPS+LTE: ceramic
Series 3 stainless steel: ceramic
