iPhone 11 Pro Sensor size.....

So does the iPhone 11 pro max use the same sensor and camera as the XS Max since a new sensor wasn’t mentioned during the keynote? If the sensor for the cameras has changed or been updated, are specs available on it? I know the main wide camera is still the same at f/1.8, the 2x is now f/2 and I’m guessing the ultra wide uses the same. I tested the demo model at Best Buy, air dropped the photos to my iPhone XS Max and then looked at them on my iPad Pro at home. Currently my XS max is cleaner looking than the 11 Pro. After iOS 13 gets more updates, I’m sure IQ will improve on the 11 Pro.

there are some reports from the Halide developers on twitter than indicate that at least the max shutter speed is much higher on the 11 pros Than on the xs‘s. That means the sensor is likely a newer chip, but no idea if the pixels are any different.

Cool.... thanks. Looks like approximately 1 stop better in performance and hopefully the same in noise. I also want to know if the physical size of the sensor has changed. I know on the XS it was made 30% larger than the x .

Yep. Looking forward to them adding a 90mm lens and then we’ll be getting somewhere

Focal length. Can do with a smaller sensor or thicker lens.
