"Sent Mail" syncing question

Hello,

When I send an email from my Gmail account on my Mac I see this mail in the Sent folder on the Mac and on my iPad. However, when I send an email from my Gmail account on my iPad I see this mail only on the iPad in the Sent folder but not on my Mac. On both devices I use Mail as email client.

What do I have to do to see mails, that have been sent from my iPad, also on my Mac in the Sent folder?

As IMAP account, as per default with Gmail email accounts on iOS devices.

I'm going crazy. Now suddenly everything shows up everywhere, also from my Gmail account. I swear it did not before. I will try later with some other (non-Gmail) email accounts that also did not work correctly before.
