iPod separate albums on aac data cd?

i've installed a sony deck in my car that supports aac - burned some data disks and all works well - info for songs and albums scrolls on the display - but when i try to skip albums (forward or back) it just goes to the first song (like it thinks the playlist burned is the one and only album on the disk).

any way to fix this? (i have to skip tracks one by one to get through albums)
