separating audio and video from movie files

I need to fin an appthat i can buy cheap or download that will seprate movie files into audio and video files.

I don't want the sound on a lot of my video files and i would like to take the audio out before compressing them.

does anyone know any good apps for this?

I use version tracker to find most of my 3rd party apps, any1 know any other good sources?
