Hey all,

I was wondering if it was possible to have e-mails go ONLY to your smart mailboxes. In other words, is there a way have the inbox only show mail that is not in the smart mailboxes?

Thanks!

No. Smart Mailboxes aren't true mailboxes, they're simply saved searches. Thus, mail isn't stored in them, they just show mail from other folders. Instead of Smart Mailboxes, you should use Rules and normal Mailboxes to achieve what you're looking for. Just set up a rule to move the message to the appropriate mailbox, and it won't appear in your Inbox, it will show up in that mailbox instead.

Smart Mailboxes are essentially "Smart Searches," similar to the searches in Finder. As such, they don't contain any data just references to data.

Using actually folders and using filtering to move the messages into the desired folder is how you would achieve what you are after.

EDIT: Beat :(
