Hi all

After much debating, have finally decided to order a MacBook Air with 512GB of storage, and in addition a 2TB Time Capsule. I intend to be purchasing a lot of media (Movies + TV shows) from iTunes. My aim is to keep my music and movie collection on the Air, but then keep TV shows stored separately on the Time Capsule. Is this possible, and if so how do I go about doing this?

Thanks

Yes. In iTunes preferences tell it not to add files to your iTunes library when adding them.

When add music or movies to iTunes you can place them in ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Add to iTunes .

When you add TV Shows add them with the add to library option from the menu.

If you download shows from iTunes and want to move them to the time capsule. Right click on the show and show in finder. Connect to the time capsule and click and drag the show from the finder windows.
