Seperate SD and HD settings?

I was wondering if there is any HDTV's that allow you to have separate settings for both your HD channels and SD channels. I was looking at the Digital Video Essentials calibration disc and it says it has tests for both SD and HD signals. I know on the better HDTV's its possible to have separate settings for each input, however, I wanted to know if it was possible to have two different settings on the same input. One setting would be for channels that come in HD and the other setting would be for the many that come in SD. If I just calibrate it through the HD section will it serve my purpose for the SD channels as well? Thanks in advance for any help.
