Shouldn''t they be coming soon, don't invites usually go out 2 weeks before an event?

Been brought up in another thread--the invites usually/often/lately go out about 1 week before the event...so likely sometime in the first part of next week.

I track a ton of AAPL statistics (for AAPL option trading purposes)... below are the past lead times for invitations and the event dates. Based on these, I expect we see an invitation next Tuesday.

Oct 23, 2012 iPad mini Event (Tuesday)
- Apple sent invite on Oct 16 (Tuesday)
- 7 calendar days lead time.
- It had been incorrectly rumored for Oct 17th the prior couple of weeks.

Sep 12, 2012 iPhone 5 Event (Wednesday)
- Apple sent invite on Sep 4, 2012 (Tuesday)
- 8 calendar days lead time.

Mar 7, 2012 iPad Event (Wednesday)
- Apple sent invite on Feb 28, 2012 (Tuesday)
- 8 calendar days lead time.

Oct 4, 2011 iPhone 4s Event (Tuesday)
- Apple sent invite on Sep 27, 2011 (Tuesday)
- 1 week lead time.

Mar 2, 2011 iPad2 Event (Wednesday)
- Apple sent invite on Feb 23, 2011 (Wednesday)
- 1 week lead time.

Sep 1, 2010 iPod, Apple TV Event (Wednesday):
- Apple sent invite on Aug 25, 2010 (Wednesday)
- 1 week lead time.
- It had been rumored to be on Sep 8th or 15th the prior couple of weeks.

Sep 9, 2009 "Rock and Roll" Event (Wednesday):
- 9 calendar days lead time.
- Apple sent invite on Aug 31, 2009 (Monday)

A quick forum search would have brought you to precise results in a matter of seconds.

Hmmm...
I wonder why, with the 4S and the iPad 2, they went from a 7-day lead time to a 1-week lead time.....

:p

I think if the event really is on the 10th, then invitations will go out on the 2nd-4th, most likely the 3rd for a week's notice.

im going with september 4th thats a tuesday and the day most of the invites have gone out before :)

what if next week comes and goes and no invites go out? then when are we getting iOS 7 gm and the iphone 5s? october? look when the iphone 4s was announced :\

Considering Jim Dalrymple, All Things D, and Bloomberg all confirmed that the event will be held on September 10th and due to the fact that iOS 7 is already in it's 6th beta, it's highly likely the invites will go out this coming week for a September 10th event.

forgot about the apple care training for iOS 7 that pretty much confirms september 10th right there :)

I am always intrigued and impressed with the designs Apple creates with their invitations - always a good way to get the Mac Community up and analyze the subtle details in the invitations and what they could mean.
