My case was just delivered.
I used the case as a test, using Apple Card and ApplePay.... then this morning I ended up using my phone because the Apple Store came up first there... Then accidentally used my bank card to pay for the phone.. Sept 20...
They already charged my bank, who called me this morning asking me to validate the charge...

Cases do not get held to the 9/20 date, many folks already started getting their cases from Apple delivered already
It was probably meant to be misleading on purpose. Especially since it's in the iphone section and not the accessories sections. There's one in every crowd......

Edit: ah I looked at the picture wrong, it looked like two cases, one grey and one blue!

Ha, ha!! Thought you meant the phone! I got my case today ... I got the clear case. It's nice but doesn't have cut outs at the bottom like my non-Apple brand I used for my Xs .. the bottom is open. Also surprised that it doesn't have any Apple branding on it at all.
I’ve used the apple leather case for the past 4 years.
It’s very minimalist yet doesn’t skimp on the button feel/function, edges of the camera cutouts, etc...
Nice and sturdy where it needs to be.
I've only used the apple leather case the last 2 phones but agreed that they are minimalist and well made. While I don't like the bottom being open... I look at my phone and it's still in good shape (I don't see any scratches). AND I wonder if with a case with bottom coverage if the whole sweep up thing will be annoying if there is a lip of a case there?
Got my 11 Pro Max Apple leather case, here it is next to the same saddle brown color leather case for my XS Max...absolutely love how it gets that patina over time.
I just take some sandpaper to it to get the wax finish off, rub some leather conditioner in it, let it dry out in the sun, and then let use over time do the rest.
