September 21st - National Call In Sick Day

I was okay all week, full intentions of going about normal Friday business...but the simple change to "1 Business Day Left" has really knocked me off track.

*cough*:eek:*cough*

I'm definitely catching something. By friday I'll be sick as a dog.
 
I just read the 4S shipping thread...everyone seemed to get the phone before noon.

I'm taking a half day...going into work after lunch:cool:

Oh how I wish that was an option! Not that much "work" will get done AFTER you have the phone...maybe its better this way!?
 
I feel like maybe making a huge scene at work...making sure everyone knew the iPhone 5 was coming out...only hurt my chances of not getting fired from a "call in"...

I couldn't help it...it was like christmas eve...

just act like somebody important died...cry..make a scene, explain how you can't focus on anything and you're in a really dark place.

I did this all the time when i had a civilian job. :cool:
 
I'm having my phone shipped to my job. I've got a great relationship with my UPS driver. The only thing that sucks is my boss scheduled for he and I to go to an off site meeting at 9:30; we'll probably be there for a couple of hours...the UPS guy says we're his 7th stop on his route (usually). :D
 
i have all packages delivered to work so i dont have them sitting at my door for anyone to take (or since there would be no one there to sign for anything), so i have an external hard drive with my main computer mirrored to it. all i have to do is just boot from that and can set up my phone at work.
 
Nah working at home although I'm forcing my husband to get out of bed early to wait in case Fedex comes while I'm at the gym :)
 
Well I went back through all my online orders and saw that UPS has delivered as early as 1408 and as late as 1730. Which means I will leave work at 1400 and hope hes not early...Obsessed much...I know. Just be happy people, you will all have your iphones around the time I am waking up for work. So you are closer to receiving yours than I am ;)
 
I'm a substitute teacher, so it's really up in the air whether I get a call or not in the morning. Maybe I'll work, maybe I'll have the day off.
 
I hope that you get fired if you call in sick for work tomorrow ! I have never called in sick or missed a day of work in my life
 
If you worked for me and you called in sick to get an Iphone I would find out and fire you without even thinking twice about it ;)
 
I had no plans of calling in sick, but cramped up with food poisoning at work this morning and had to leave. I'll probably make it tomorrow though, but UPS is holding my package for an 8am pickup. :D
