Hello,
I'm trying to install Sequoia on an external drive, but when downloading and running either of the M4 compatible installers (15.1.1 and 15.2) I'm met with an error saying Sequoia isn't compatible with my Mac (M4 Mac Mini currently running Sequoia.)
Am I missing something?

Currently trying the method of installing from macOS Recovery instead, which so far seems to be working but the installation says it will take 3.5 hours, which sounds wrong to me.

Are there some hitches with installing Sequoia externally that I'm unaware of?
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers!

There's a similar thread below. The 15.1.1 installer is known to not be compatible with the M4 Mac mini, but are you sure you had the correct installer for 15.2? I would think that one should have worked.

Cheers for the reply. That post was actually what brought me to these forums. I definitely tried the 15.2 installer (non-beta), there was only one download option available for it and it still didn't want to play ball.
Installing from macOS Recovery did the trick, and went straight to 15.2 even though my internal drive is still 15.1.

Still unsure why every M4 installer flagged my Mac as incompatible.
