I just purchased a i7 and received the Toshiba 256GB SSD. I am not sure if I am happy about not getting the Samsung or not. Hoping someone can clarify a few points:
First:
Can someone with the Samsung 256GB drive check their negotiated link speed by going to the Apple Logo > About This Mac > More Info > System Report - under the Hardware Tree > Serial ATA you should see the following:
Intel 6 Series Chipset:
Vendor: Intel
Product: 6 Series Chipset
Link Speed: 6 Gigabit
Negotiated Link Speed: 3 Gigabit
Can you the SM256GB SSD owners tell me there Negotiated Link Speed?
Also, how much of a difference is the Toshiba drive not having the NCQ going to make?
Best,
Desmo
