I have an Apple wireless keyboard. Bought in 2011 in another country. Well, the spacebar is having some trouble. Also, it disconnects sometimes even with new batteries.

When I enter the serial number in Apple's page, it simply doesnt recognizes! Whats wrong??

This is the serial number: 331110H28848A or 33111OH28848A.
Can somebody help me?

Let me state at the outset that I do not own an Apple wireless keyboard. However, I do not expect an Apple keyboard to look like yours. To be specific, the powdered coating does not look right. Also, the serial number does not look right. In particular, the third "8" is spaced differently, shaped differently, and slightly larger than the first two 8s.

The question is: How do you know that the keyboard is really an Apple keyboard?

Hi!
I bought it in an Apple Store in USA (I live in another country). I have the box with the barcode sticker etc.
It looks weird because I took this photo using iPhone during the night with a yellow light bulb near it.

I recently had to go through this with an accessory. Basically, Apple doesn't individually register serial numbers for accessories (mine was the Magic Trackpad). Instead, you get it replaced by referencing your computer's serial number. They don't seem to understand their own system on the phone either, because you cannot get through the voice prompts by saying your accessory name.

Does your computer still have AppleCare on it? If so, put in a repair request online or by phone under your computer's serial number, and make sure they realize that it's the keyboard that you want help with.
