For a MacPro the system updates aren't available or the system version isn't updated. Try the manual updates they all refuse to apply. I was going to try the support, and then noticed the support is saying my MacPro serial number is invalid.

As I bought this Mac directly to Apple, that's huge.

To get the serial number: About the mac, serial is shown just above the buttons, double click the serial to select it, copy, paste at support page, serial invalid.

I have no idea what to do now, all support path seem require it and despite this bought is registered with my apply id, I must provide a serial number, but Apple clearly screwed it up.

Any idea what could I do?

Can you post the link where you you checked the serial number?

Do you have a Mac Pro 4,1 or 5,1?
