Serial Port for Macbook Pro?

I have a friend who for business uses both a PC & Mac Laptop (G4).

He was telling me how he intends to get a dual boot PC so he can put OSX on aswell as windows to save carting 2 laptops around.

I politley informed him you cannot put (legally) OSX on pc hardware, why not get a macbook pro for the task..... he says he need a serial port (to connect to machinary.)

Is there a way to get a serial port on the macbook pro?
