Has anyone out there had experience using the "Serial to USB" adapters for their printers ?? I have 2 older printers that I need the adapter for since I just got a used Dual 450 G4 that no longer has any serial ports.
For all of you who might say just ditch the old printers and get a new USB one........one of the printers is an Epson Stylus 1520......which can print up to 17" x 22" posters......so I'm not about to get rid of that !! Plus, it was $500 and they still sell that model for $500 today.
Has anyone had any problems printing using those adapters ??
BTW, the prices on those damn adapters is OUTRAGEOUS !!!! The cheapest one i've seen so far is $80........Pathetic !!
