Series 0 face detached

I am guessing that I am probably out of luck here, but the face on my series 0 just detached. I did have applecare, but I expect that it has expired.

Will apple fix it, or do I need to buy a new one?

If the battery isn’t swollen and the watch still works, you can very carefully use super glue to tack it back down and it will still last for quite some time I think. Best to use the gel type superglue and a toothpick to apply it.
I did this awhile back and used it just fine until the series 4 came out and I replaced it.

Just take a good look as to how the face fits to the case and you’ll see the channel around the face to put the glue in. Be very careful to use glue sparingly. Set a good sized book on top of it while it sets for a few hours.

If the battery is swollen and looks like a little rounded pillow, the screen will not fit into the grooves anymore.
