I just got a series 0 watch (aka the 1,2 version) and it's saying i need ios 10 in order to pair. Now i have an iphone 5 with 10.3.4 on it, but each time i try to pair the watch to the phone, it says the iphone is out of date. is there a step i am missing? do i need to disable icloud, or cellular service? i'm at a loss on what to do.

if the S0 has watchOS 4, it requires an iPhone 5s.

watchOS 3 was the last version to support 5/5c

How can i tell what os is on the watch? I can't get it set up and it doesn't have any other info on it for me to read other than the serial number

If it wasn't new form a box, it likely already been upgraded to watchOS 4 since that was the last possible release that would work on S0.
