Hey all !
Earlier this year I had really wanted a gold series 4 SS but that price is just too high for me right now. During this process I’ve grown to really like the space black and have found a very well priced space black series 2 for sale. My question is will I be able to tell the speed difference with the new WatchOS 5 on the series 2 compared to my current SS silver series 0? Space black is enough of a reason for me to want it but I know apple makes older hardware slower each year so I’m worried that on watchOS 5 the watches performance will feel close to the same as my series 0 on watchOS 4 dispite the series 2 having dual-cores. What do you guys think? I don’t want to pay for the same watch that just has a brighter display and is space black but will feel about the same speed wise to my current series 0.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, the dual core processor in the Series 2 is significantly faster over the first generation S1 chip in the first GEN watch. Where you will really notice the differences, will be load times for applications, powering on the watch will load much faster to the home screen, the battery life will be wore well-managed because of the efficiency of the dual core processor, ect.

Also, the Series 2 actually has 1000 Nit brighter display versus the 450 Nits on the Firsr Gen and it’s water resistance rated.
