The Upside Down
Did anyone notice that in Dave2D’s Apple Watch Series 10 review, he mentioned that the AOD ticking second hand is only available on the new Flux and Reflections watch faces? Crazy that it’s not available on all other watch faces with a second hand 🤯. Hopefully it’s just a bug that will be fixed soon.

He mentions it starting around 2:17 in his review:

This makes absolutely no sense to me. That’s my big reason for considering an upgrade, it should be on every single watch face. I use California and world time frequently, hopefully they’re added in then .1 upgrade ASAP.

But truly, what is apple thinking here?

Yeah, I'm frustrated by this not being a feature across more watch faces as well. I'm currently on the Series 6 and my most used watch face is "California". I had assumed it would be a feature across most watch faces until I started to read reviews yesterday. Is there any idea as to whether this will come to older watch faces in future updates?

I'm disappointed to hear this, too, but now I'm thinking about it, it may be pretty complicated to update older faces to show second movements while in AOD. If it was a matter of changing a few lines of code, they would have done it already, so I'm thinking this probably requires major code rewrite. Software revisions are like that -- either something needs a few simple changes, or it requires major rewrite. There aren't many cases that fall into the middle. So I'm thinking the older watch faces may not get revised until watchOS 12. :(

I want it on the Simple analog. Or similar.
