I saw quite a few articles before buying my series 10, stating that nap detection is in watchOS 11. But I've now taken three naps and I don't see anything listed in the Health app about them.

Why??

It does. There are several posters here who said that it detected a nap while they were watching a movie.
I cannot tell you the threshold it needs to detect a nap, I suppose it has to do with duration and possible movement.
Others might have more insight

Edit: maybe there is more info in this thread

I have been logging my daily (or so) nap data for a couple of years now using the AutoSleep app. It does a fairly decent job and sleep phase breakdown . . . and I’m using a series 8. I’m not sure at all what the watchOS 11 is supposed to do, unless Apple finally tried to bring it to their own Health app. I’ve been very happy with AutoSleep.

If I forget to set my sleep focus I still end up getting sleep data for the night.
