howdy all,

i recently upgraded from a series 3 nike to a series 3 non-nike with cellular. i also upgraded to an iPhone X (last year's model) running ios12.

on my iphone 7 running ios11 with the nike watch, the apple watch app would show me the active/standby watch runtime no matter how many times i had put it on the charger for a partial charge. i noticed yesterday that if i partially charge the new watch, the app stops reporting any runtime, standby or active, and just says it will be reported after a full charge.

is this something new in ios12? it was nice to know the runtime even if it was 'juiced' by partial charges.

anyone have similar experiences?

for anyone wondering the same thing, today i noticed that the watch app is back to reporting the runtime and standby time after a partial charge, but now notes that the watch has been partially charged. this is how my older series 3 behaved so maybe it's just a question of getting a few cycles on the battery before the app starts reporting like this.
