Series 3 Apple watch locked by MDM

We use AirWatch MDM at my company which was installed on my iphone. The MDM policy extended to my apple watch whereby the watch would not unlock unless my phone was unlocked.

I installed the first ios12 beta on the iphone and later downgraded. After being back on 11.4 and having AirWatch re-installed and working the apple watch still will not unlock.

I've already reached out to the help desk at my company but Im wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this and how it was resolved?

Yes tried it twice but to no avail. Thank you for the suggestion.

For anyone who encounters something similar in the future this was the solution that worked for me:

1.Connect your watch to its charging cable, with power connected.

2.Press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider.

3.Press firmly on Power Off (do not try to slide it - just press down more firmly than a normal tap i.e. force touch) release and then tap on Erase all content and settings.
