Hi guys,
I received my new watch yesterday, just the wifi version.
I was reading that if your phone had connected to wireless networks before, your watch should be able to connect to these same ones if your phone is not around or off.

My issue is....the Home app works fine when the watch is connected via Bluetooth to my phone but as soon asi turn Bluetooth off in the settings the watch shows it’s connected to wifi but the Home app shows “no response” and the icon at the top spins round.

On the Apple page it shows things you can do without your phone- and operating HomeKit stuff is one of them via wifi.
The phone was connect to the 2.5ghz network.

I know the image shows a cellular connection on apples page above in case anyone picks up on it.
