I just assumed it was an exclusivity deal at first but nope, it’s a technical limitation which puts a new slant on things. I still find it strange that EE are the only UK provider to invest in the tech to support this, but it is what it is.
Why Macworld needed to write an individual article per network provider when they all say the same thing I don’t know.
My Vodafone contract is up at the end of November so I’ll be off to EE, either with an X on contract or SIM free.
I’ve still got an S1 but don’t want to lock in another 2 years with any network that doesn’t support the S3, as I’ll be getting a new watch next September at the latest.
