Will the Series 3LTE only work with 4G. I live in a location where it you sometimes only get 3G, or even worse GPRS so am wondering if the Series 3 will be able to accept/make calls where 4G is not available.

The Apple Watch LTE will fall back to UMTS (a type of 3G) if your carrier uses UMTS as well then you should be OK.

AT&T and T-Mobile support 4G LTE and UMTS.

Sprint and Verizon only support 4G LTE.

I saw something on the site where it was like UMTS didn't work or something with EE but then they took it out??

So are you saying if you get a Verizon 3G signal the watch will not pick up the 3G signal?

Correct. Maybe Verizon will change it, but right now they don't support it. They also might not be able to support it if the Watch doesn't support their particular 3G frequency or the technology that they use.

What does that actually mean exactly though??

That EE only supports 4G LTE. Maybe they'll support 3G at a later date, maybe they won't or maybe they can't.

EXACTLY!!!

Assuming that you are out and about without your iPhone. If you have your iPhone the Watch still connects through bluetooth/WiFi to your iPhone.

Yes, what does that mean? Does it mean I would not be able to use where I have a 3G or GPRS signal?
Yes...Exactly!

Wait so does an Apple Watch connect to wifi on it's own without the phone nearby??

Yes! when I come home I place my iPhone 7 plus on its wireless charger and leave it there and my watch will stay connected to my phone via bluetooth BUT when i move out of range my Watch switches to my home's WIFI (cloud icon) and receives iMessages and I can still use any Built in or Native 3rd party apps! Very COOL!

Yes...Exactly!
Is this just a carrier issue? If another UK carrier comes on board then they may offer UTMS connectivity?
