Series 3 not tracking Swim distance

Past few times I’ve been in the pool my series 3 hasn’t been keeping track of laps/ distance on the workout screen. If I end the workout, it will show up both distance and laps just not during the work out.

Anyone else have this happen and what did you do to fix it?
