Was looking to buy for my wife but only saw gold, no rose gold. Is it discontinued?

It Must be. I don’t see it listed on their website either for sale. Which might be an indication that they may not restock that specific color if it’s sold out with a refresh coming soon or if its just temporary.

You can always check with your local Apple Store to see if they have any in stock or another retailer.

They still have it for sale on the Apple website in the U.K. Maybe it’s just temporary?

Wonder if they just changed the name, the rose gold and gold look identical. Odd that the U.K. site would still say rose gold though.

Rose Gold is never a thing in Apple Watch series 3. I was also confused when trying to buy my current Apple Watch. It's just not there from the beginning.
I miss the iPhone 6s series rose gold. It looks just nice.

What’s Interesting is, there is a lot of misinformation on the Internet when you research ‘Series 3 gold Apple Watch’, it actually shows various listings for Rose gold watch through various retailers, but its actually Series 2, but I actually didn’t know myself that Apple did not offer a rose gold option for the series 3, as I prefer the stainless.

Series 3 never had (in name) a rose gold color. The "new" gold is a combination of the old gold and rose gold, which looks less like pink and less like gold, but more of a genuine rose gold color.

This is totally right, they call the Series 3 just "Gold" or "Blush Gold", it's a closer representation to real rose gold, rather than the far too pink version of previous generations. I got one for my lovely lady as she wears rose gold jewelry and it matches much better,

Yes I suspect this is the case here as it doesn’t actually show on the Apple website when you go to it directly.

I considered a rose gold series 3 but decided to go with silver as I felt it would go better with most of the bands I already have. However it seems it was never an option. I hope Apple aren’t doing away with the rose gold colour because I really like it. My iPad Pro is rose gold and my 7 plus was in rose gold.

Don't worry, the Gold Series 3 is true Rose Gold. It even says "Blush Gold" on the box if I remember correctly.
